Phong Nha Khe Bang National Park have a lot of cave exploration and trekking adventures to offer. Few activities are possible to do by yourself as the Phong Nha Cave, Paradise Cave, Dark Cave, Mooc Spring Eco Trail or Botanical Garden, but if you don’t drive motorbike and you want to visit safely by car with a tour guide you can book the Classic National Park tour or the Jungle Boss National Park tour. These tours are nice, but can be very touristy. If you want something more adventurous and off the beaten path we suggest you to choose a tour in the following list. 

Van Kieu village jungle trek: 1 day: 750,000 vnd 

Nguyen Shack is proud to offer new tour in Phong Nha to bring you in the most remote places of Vietnam to discover untouched civilization and wild nature. These fascinating tours will bring you to experience the culture of the hill tribes living in the Phong Nha Khe Bang National Park near the Laos border. The area that we visit is still untamed and untouched by tourism. People out there are living in a rural farming lifestyle with cattle roaming free around the houses, people collect wood, hunt and fish in traditional way. On the way to reach the different villages you will trek in the mountains and by the stream to see amazing natural scenery including a nice waterfall.


Phong Nha Cave’s Mysterious Depths – 1 day: 1,700,000 vnd

It was used for shelter, as storage and as an hospital during the American War.  It is well worth a visit, especially for the journey up the river and in to the cave aboard a traditional Dragon Boat, but if you feel more adventurous you can also go deeper in the cave and Conquer 4.5km of the Phong Nha Cave by Kayak. Paradise Cave 7km Adventure – 1 day: 2,500,000 vnd

The first 1km can be seen by anybody, either on a tour or by visiting the cave by yourself. Tra Ang Cave & Ma Da Valley – 1 day: 1,650,000 vnd – 2 days: 4,500,000 vnd
tra%cc%a3-ang3The Ma Da Valley was opened to tourism in August 2016. This new area of the world heritage Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park includes the Tra Ang cave and Ma Da Lake. The tour is 8km of trekking in the primary jungle of Ma Da Valley, exploring the Vietnamese tropical forest. This tour is a great opportunity to get in to the jungle without taking on a major expedition in an area where few tourists have been before. Explore an unspoiled cave, swim in a stunning lake and experience authentic Vietnam whilst supporting employment for local people. More info


The Abandoned Valley – 1 day: 1,650,000 vnd – 2 days: 4,700,000 vnd

This tour takes in 12km of the Ho Chi Minh trail, exploring the Vietnamese tropical forest and experiencing the history of the Vietnam-American war as you trek along the narrow track. Explore the other exit of the now famous Dark Cave, and explore unspoilt Hang E where you swim in a crystal clear natural spring. Hang E is one of the most beautiful river caves in the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. Enjoy a barbecue lunch in the jungle prepared by the porter team. Hang Over Expedition – 3 days: 9,650,000 VND

Hang Tien – 1 day: 2,000,000 VND – 2 days: 6,500,000 VND – 3 days: 8,500,000 VND

As the largest cave in Tu Lan cave system, Hang Tien is famed for its enormous size and spectacular formations rising up like a layer cake of rimstone pools and lush ferns, this cave is  a unique specimen. The Hang Tien Discovery is fitting for both true adventurers and also those with limited outdoor experience. 


Hang En – 2 days: 7,500,000 VND
The third largest cave in the world, Hang En is close to Hang Son Doong (the world’s biggest cave) and is part of the same cave system. The huge cavern with it’s river and lake is spectacular, especially if you catch a moment with sun rays streaming in the entrance. To see this cave involves a day trek through beautiful jungle and valleys, and through a minority village. After time spent exploring the cave you stay overnight in a tent on a sandy beach in the cave and trek back the next day.


Hang Va expedition – 2 days: 8,000,000 VND
